About the Position

Job Title: Interventional Radiology RN Profession: RN Specialty: Radiology Duration: 13 weeks Shift: Monday - Friday Hours per Shift: 7:30 AM - 4:00 PM Experience: Minimum 2 years License: RN License Required Certifications: ACLS & BLS Must-Have: - Experience in Procedural Departments, Critical Care, Emergency Department, ICU - Experience with Moderate Sedation - Must live within a 30-minute radius Description: The position requires a registered nurse in the field of interventional radiology. The role will involve working independently and as part of a team. There are two IR suites and one holding area available for patient care. The staff comprises five nurses and five technicians. Equipment used includes Philips Bi-Plane, Philips Single Plane, and GE Monitoring. The electronic medical record system is Expanse. Typical procedures include angiograms, cerebral coiling, biopsies, and neuro interventions. Experience with carotid stenting, embolectomy, and thrombectomy is essential. Other procedures performed include kyphoplasty, epidural steroid injections, hip injections, and thoracentesis. The ability to adapt to departmental demands for weekend shifts and on-call duties is necessary. Flexibility and availability to pick up extra call shifts if needed are essential for the role.
