Are you patient, compassionate, creative, and ready to make a real difference? Nurturing Water Therapies (NWT) is looking for caring, dependable people to join our team as Adaptive Swim Instructors. You don’t need to have adaptive swim experience—we’ll train the right person! THIS COULD BE A GREAT FIT FOR YOU IF YOU ARE: A current or former swim instructor or lifeguard Someone with experience working with children or individuals with disabilities Patient, flexible, and comfortable thinking outside the box A strong swimmer who wants more meaningful work Someone who believes every person deserves the opportunity to be safe and successful in the water WHAT YOU’LL DO Provide one-on-one adaptive swim instruction for neurodivergent children and adults, including swimmers with sensory, communication, behavioral, physical, and anxiety-related challenges. You’ll learn how to: Build trust and connection with each swimmer Adapt instruction to individual needs Support water safety and functional swimming skills Use visual, sensory, and communication strategies Help swimmers develop confidence and independence WHAT WE OFFER $23–$26/hour Paid training provided Seattle, Mercer Island & Bellevue locations Meaningful one-on-one work Hands-on experience that can complement your education or career THIS IS MORE THAN A SWIM LESSON. For some of our swimmers, the water can be overwhelming. For others, it can be the place where they finally feel successful.
