Content Creator

**Location:** Washington DC **Type of Employment:** Full-Time **Overall Responsibility:** America First Works (AFW) is seeking a Content Creator to drive real-time, high-impact digital content that advances the America First Agenda. This role focuses on issue advocacy in response to breaking news, legislative developments, and emerging opportunities, working closely with the Digital and Communications teams. The ideal candidate is a fast-moving, strategic communicator with a deep understanding of social media, digital trends, and the political landscape, capable of producing content that engages, motivates, and informs AFW’s audience across digital platforms. **Responsibilities and Duties:** • Develop, write, and edit compelling content for social media, emails, text messages, and other digital platforms that align with AFW messaging and priorities. • Produce visual content including graphics, photos, and videos to support campaigns, storytelling, and rapid response initiatives. • Collaborate with the Digital and Communications teams to ensure content supports strategic goals and messaging. • Monitor trends, news cycles, and audience engagement to create timely, relevant content that resonates with key constituencies. • Tailor content for specific issues, audiences, and channels to maximize impact and reach. • Support rapid-response communications efforts by producing content aligned with emerging political developments and organizational priorities. • Track content performance and recommend improvements to drive engagement and effectiveness. **Qualifications:** • Proven experience as a content creator, social media manager, or comparable role, preferably in politics, advocacy, or issue-driven communications. • Exceptional writing, editing, and storytelling skills with the ability to produce high-quality content under tight deadlines. • Experience with graphic design and video editing tools (e.g., Canva, Adobe Creative Suite, Final Cut Pro, Premiere Pro). • Deep understanding of social media platforms, digital content trends, and audience engagement strategies. • Strong creative mindset, attention to detail, and ability to manage multiple priorities simultaneously. • Bachelor’s degree in Marketing, Communications, Journalism, or a related field is a plus. **Preferred Skills:** • Photography and/or videography experience. • Experience with content management systems. **Compensation:** Salaries for positions will be commensurate with the experience, expertise, and skills of the individual. **Why Join Us:** • Opportunity to shape the digital voice of AFW and make a tangible impact on the America First movement. • Collaborative and fast-paced environment that encourages innovation and strategic thinking #J-18808-Ljbffr
