Pay: $27.00–$31.00+ per hour (depending on experience, employment longevity, and certification)

MyTeam Medical Staffing is recruiting to hire several Medical Assistants to join a highly respected surgical specialty practice serving the Portland metropolitan area. Opportunities are available in Tualatin and NW Portland too.

REQUIREMENTS FOR THE POSITION:

• REQUIRED: Graduate of an accredited Medical Assistant program
• REQUIRED: Minimum two (2) years of consecutive experience with one employer working as a credentialed clinical Medical Assistant in a physician office or clinic.
• REQUIRED: High school diploma or GED equivalent
• REQUIRED: Current CPR certification for Healthcare Providers (AHA preferred)
• REQUIRED: Possess current immunization documentation
• Ability to perform a blood pressure and a sterile tray set-up
• Excellent communication, organizational, and documentation skills
• Ability to prioritize responsibilities while maintaining accuracy and professionalism

REQUIRED: Must possess a national medical assistant certification, for example:

• CMA (AAMA)
• RMA (AMT)
• NCMA (NCCT)
• CCMA (NHA)
• Or an equivalent nationally recognized credential

Primary Responsibilities

• Prepare patients for examinations and treatments by reviewing medical records, obtaining vital signs, and completing patient intake
• Assist providers during examinations and clinical procedures
• Educate patients regarding treatments, medications, follow-up care, and provider instructions
• Accurately document patient care within the electronic medical record (EMR)
• Coordinate patient scheduling and appropriately manage incoming telephone calls and messages
• Monitor and maintain medical supplies, medications, and treatment inventories
• Ensure compliance with OSHA, infection control, and safety standards
• Maintain a clean, organized, and efficient clinical environment
• Perform additional clinical and administrative duties to support exceptional patient care
