Role Overview The Advanced Practice Provider II- Trauma is responsible for delivering comprehensive healthcare in primary or specialty areas, including patient assessment, diagnosis, treatment, education, and referrals. They serve as clinical leaders, mentors, and role models, supporting training, evaluation, and management of healthcare practitioners and students to ensure high-quality patient care. Role Overview The Advanced Practice Provider II- Trauma is responsible for delivering comprehensive healthcare in primary or specialty areas, including patient assessment, diagnosis, treatment, education, and referrals. They serve as clinical leaders, mentors, and role models, supporting training, evaluation, and management of healthcare practitioners and students to ensure high-quality patient care. Key Responsibilities Perform clinical activities such as histories, exams, assessments, and ordering tests to determine diagnoses and plan care. Make medical decisions aligned with protocols and consult with physicians as needed. Document health information accurately and manage patient follow-up and education. Collaborate with healthcare team members and refer patients appropriately to ensure optimal outcomes. Educate patients and families, participate in community outreach, and contribute to staff training and mentorship. Stay current with advancements in the field, participate in quality improvement projects, and support clinical research initiatives. Qualifications & Skills Master's degree in nursing or Physician Assistant certification, with current licensure and certifications such as BLS, ACLS, and ATLS. Minimum of 3 years of clinical experience in a similar role and 5+ years overall. Specialized certification as an Adult-Gerontology Acute Care or Acute Care Nurse Practitioner (for APRNs). Effective leadership, verbal and written communication, and patient-centered care skills. Knowledge of policies, regulations, and standards governing healthcare practice.
