Travel Surgical Technologist

American Traveler is seeking a Surgical Technologist with Neuro/Spine OR experience for a 13-week travel contract at a comprehensive hospital in Birmingham, AL.

Job Details

• Main OR setting within a 595-bed Joint Commission-accredited comprehensive hospital in Birmingham, AL,
• Neuro/Spine surgical specialty with preferred experience in Vascular, Da Vinci, Orthopedic, and Maxillofacial procedures,
• 1:1 patient ratio in a 24-bed OR department,
• Day shift, 6:00 AM - 6:30 PM, with late shifts and call requirements,
• Call is evenly distributed by the unit coordinator,
• Weekend hours are on-call,
• Cerner EMR,
• 13-week contract,

Job Requirements

• Minimum of 2 years of recent Neuro/Spine OR experience,
• BLS certification required - AHA certification only (American Red Cross is not accepted),
• License required if applicable,
• SSN and DOB required for consideration,

Additional Information

• Candidates must reside more than 50 miles from the facility - no local candidates will be considered,
• Scrub color must be ceil blue or royal blue,
• Fleece, hooded garments, t-shirts, sweatshirts, and nail polish are not permitted,
• Certifications must not be expired or set to expire within 30 days of the start date; proof of enrollment in a renewal class may be used as a placeholder
