Shipping/Buyer Warehouse Associate

Position: Shipping/Buyer Warehouse Associate Location: Onsite Waltham, MA Schedule: 5 days per week, 40 hours/week to start (7:45 AM 3:45 PM) Duration: Contract-to-Perm (conversion desired after 6 months) Start Date: ASAP Rate: $26-29/Hour Our client is a growing manufacturing organization seeking a hands-on Shipping & Receiving / Warehouse Associate to support daily operations across manufacturing, shipping, and service teams. This is a small, collaborative environment where flexibility and teamwork are essential.

Detailed List of Job Duties and Responsibilities:

• Incoming Materials (Receiving)
• Count, inspect, and verify incoming inventory
• Review and match packing slips to deliveries and purchase orders
• Enter and upload receipts into ERP/WMS systems (Odoo, Jira)
• Label materials with barcodes and internal part numbers
• Stage and put away materials into inventory or production staging areas
• Communicate shortages, damages, or discrepancies to Purchasing and Finance
• Update related Jira tickets
• Outgoing Materials (Shipping)
• Pick, pack, and stage outbound shipments for materials and spare parts
• Manage UPS, FedEx, LTL, and freight shipments
• Create shipping labels and required documentation
• Prepare shipping documents with oversight, including: Bills of Lading (BOLs) Packing slips Commercial invoices (for international shipments)
• Schedule freight pickups and coordinate with carriers
• Support service team with shipping spare parts in and out
• Provide tracking numbers to Customer Service or Sales
• Identify and flag shipping issues such as shortages, damage, or delays
• Update and close shipping tickets in the system
• Inventory & Warehouse Support
• Maintain organized warehouse and bin locations
• Perform cycle counts and assist with full physical inventory
• Investigate and resolve inventory discrepancies
• Move inventory between locations within Odoo
• Track serialized or lot-controlled items (if applicable)
• Flag inventory shortages and alert Purchasing or Management
• Maintain packing supplies and shipping materials
• Internal Operations
• Stage kits and parts for production jobs
• Transfer materials between departments
• Return unused production materials back to stock
• Handle RMA returns, including receiving and documentation
• Provide general hands-on support for warehouse and manufacturing activities

Systems & Tools:

• Odoo ERP (recently implemented must be willing to learn)
• Jira for ticket tracking and documentation
• Atlassian
• Oracle documentation experience is a nice-to-have
• Forklift operation experience preferred (can be expired, will be retrained)

Required Qualifications:

• 35 years of experience in shipping, receiving, and warehouse operations
• Strong experience with outgoing shipping and freight
• Hands-on experience creating shipping labels and documentation (UPS, FedEx, LTL, freight)
• Comfortable with shipping documentation and inventory processes
• Experience matching packing slips, purchase orders, and deliveries
• Strong attention to detail, communication skills, and organizational skills

Preferred Qualifications:

• International shipping experience
• Jira experience

Team & Environment:

• Manufacturing group consisting of 4 full-time employees
• Small team / all-hands-on-deck environment
• Joint effort across manufacturing, shipping, and service teams
• Work includes moving robots, pallets, and other equipment
• Close-toe shoes required
