EHR Business Analyst
The Georgia Department of Public Health (DPH) is seeking an experienced EHR Business Analyst to support Electronic Health Record (EHR), Practice Management, and related healthcare technology systems. The ideal candidate will have hands-on experience supporting EHR and Practice Management systems within medical clinics or similar healthcare environments, along with experience supporting cloud-based software applications, issue/ticket management, Windows operating systems, and healthcare technology environments. This role requires a strong combination of business analysis, healthcare/EHR systems support, application support, troubleshooting, stakeholder communication, and technical coordination.
Responsibilities:
- Support Electronic Health Record (EHR) and Practice Management systems used within medical clinics and healthcare environments.
- Work with business, clinical, and technical stakeholders to understand system requirements, issues, and operational needs.
- Analyze business and system requirements related to healthcare applications and workflows.
- Support software applications hosted on cloud platforms such as AWS and Azure.
- Assist with troubleshooting and resolution of application and system issues.
- Track, manage, and document application issues using ticketing systems such as JIRA and Ivanti.
- Coordinate issue resolution with application teams, infrastructure teams, vendors, and business stakeholders.
- Support Windows-based application environments and troubleshoot operating system-related issues.
- Assist with EHR application support, configuration, testing, issue analysis, and implementation activities.
- Support healthcare system integrations and data exchange activities where applicable.
- Apply appropriate IT security practices when supporting healthcare applications and sensitive information.
- Maintain clear technical and business documentation.
- Communicate effectively with technical teams, business users, clinical stakeholders, and management.
- Participate in onsite activities as directed by the client.
Required Skills:
- Bachelor's degree in Information Technology, Computer Science, or a related field Required
- EHR and Practice Management Systems: Experience supporting EHR and Practice Management systems within a medical clinic or similar healthcare environment Required 3 Years
- Cloud Platforms: Experience with AWS, Azure, or similar cloud platforms and supporting software applications Required 3 Years
- JIRA / Ivanti: Experience using ticketing systems such as JIRA and Ivanti for issue tracking and ticket management Required 3 Years
- Windows Operating Systems: Advanced knowledge of Windows operating systems Required 5 Years
Highly Desired Skills:
- HL7: Proficiency with HL7 healthcare interoperability standards Highly Desired 3 Years
- IT Security: Knowledge of IT security best practices Highly Desired 3 Years
Education:
- Bachelors degree in Information Technology, Computer Science, or a related field is required.
Work Location Requirements:
- Position follows a Hybrid work arrangement.
- Primary worksite: 200 Piedmont Ave, Atlanta, GA.
- Candidate must be available to report onsite whenever directed by the client.
- The selected candidate must be able to begin the engagement within 2 weeks (10 business days) of client selection
