Job Summary

We are seeking an experienced AV Install Technician to install, configure, test, and maintain audio-visual systems for commercial and corporate clients. The ideal candidate has strong technical skills, attention to detail, and the ability to work independently and as part of a team.

Key Responsibilities

• Install and configure video walls, displays, projectors, speakers, microphones, control systems, and related AV equipment.
• Run, terminate, label, and test HDMI, Ethernet, audio, video, and other cables.
• Mount and position AV equipment according to project specifications and safety standards.
• Configure and program AV control systems such as Q-SYS, Crestron, AMX, and Extron.
• Test systems, troubleshoot issues, and ensure proper functionality.
• Work with clients to understand their AV needs and provide professional support.
• Train clients on the operation of installed AV systems.
• Maintain installation documentation, schematics, wiring diagrams, and system configurations.
• Communicate project status, technical issues, and resolutions to Lead Technicians or Project Managers.
• Collaborate with technicians, engineers, and project managers to complete projects successfully.
• Provide ongoing system support and maintenance as needed.

Qualifications

• High school diploma or equivalent; technical degree/certification preferred.
• 2+ years of AV installation experience, preferably in commercial or corporate environments.
• Hands-on experience installing and troubleshooting AV systems, including displays, video walls, sound systems, and control systems.
• Knowledge of cable types, termination techniques, and signal flow .
• Ability to read and interpret technical drawings and schematics.
• Strong troubleshooting, problem-solving, and attention-to-detail skills.
• Excellent communication and customer service skills.
• CTS or other relevant AV certifications are a plus.
• Ability to lift and carry equipment weighing up to 50 lbs.
• Comfortable working at heights and on construction sites or in office environments.
• Valid driver's license and reliable transportation.
• Willingness to travel to various job sites as required.
