Ensures cost effective procurement and delivery of material and service to support plant and customer requirements.ResponsibilitiesNegotiates long term agreementsDevelops strategy to achieve resultsData driven analysis and negotiating techniquesFamiliarity with commercial terms and total cost management concepts requiredSuperior conflict resolution skills and relationship managementStrong written communication and presentation skillsKey competencies for success in position include: - Negotiating principles/skills - High level integrity - Priority setting and time management - Action oriented / produces resultsAbility to work in a highly productive, constantly changing environment.Protecting or enhancing company margins by coordinating lowest cost sourcing, maintaining, or improving material margins through launch and driving post-launch cost reduction idea generation/implementationYour QualificationsRequires minimum 5 years work experience. Automotive cross-functional experience a plus.BS/BA or equivalent experienceWorks independently, under general supervision.
