PRIMARY RESPONSIBILITY:

To assist the Operator and Assistant Operator in the setup & operate, when necessary, any piece of equipment to run a corrugated box to meet customer specifications

SAFETY PROCEDURES:

Read and understand SAFETY RULES & HOUSEKEEPING GUIDELINES and receive training in proper operating procedures Receive instructions in the following. Lockout procedures Hearing protection Safety shoes Moving machinery All stop buttons All nip points Lifting and pushing/pulling Safety guards, gates & chains

HOUSEKEEPING:

Perform daily clean-up of area Dump trash as needed Follow cleaning schedule listed in Safety Manual Keep scrap picked up

MANUFACTURING PROCESS:

Read & use Factory Order & Print Card to determine proper equipment settings Ability to know if equipment is operating properly Ability to: Set stacker Install dies, attachments & printing plates Set pull rolls, collars & straps Set scores, heads & blade combinations Set Prefeeder & Lead Edge Feeder Check stock for correct size Adjust equipment for proper pressures & register Operate glue and ink systems Set folding rails, squaring section & ejector Candidates are required to undergo a drug screening after receiving a conditional job offer, but before starting employment.
