Cross Country Nurses is seeking a travel nurse RN CVPICU for a travel nursing job in Aurora, Colorado. Job Description & Requirements Specialty: CVPICU Discipline: RN Start Date: 09/22/2026 Duration: 13 weeks 36 hours per week Shift: 12 hours, days, nights Employment Type: Travel Job Summary: Pediatric Intensive Care Unit Open Heart (PICU OH) registered nurse position in an acute care environment at a designated healthcare facility. The role involves providing skilled patient care in a pediatric intensive care setting, with rotating day and night shifts. This assignment is designed for experienced professionals committed to delivering compassionate and specialized care to pediatric patients. Job Details Location: the organizations healthcare facility within the pediatric ICU environment specializing in open heart cases Schedule: 12-hour rotating shifts from 6:45 PM to 7:15 AM, with a minimum of 36 hours per week Required Qualifications: BSN or ADN with six years of relevant experience; Colorado RN license or multi-state compact license; certifications include PALS Heartcode, ACLS Heartcode (no Heartcode complete), BLS; Minimum of 2-3 years of staff RN experience in dedicated cardiovascular-pediatric intensive care unit (CVPICU) or pediatric CICU open heart; previous travel experience preferred; at least 3 years of experience. Preferred Qualifications: CCRN & VAD experience preferred (please note in work history comments); teaching hospital experience strongly preferred. Schedule: Rotating days and nights based on unit needs; shifts begin on 09/22/2026 and end on 12/26/2026. Additional Information: Float: The client reserves the right to float or reassign personnel to other areas within their clinical competence within thirty-five miles of the assigned facility, as needed. Up to 75% of shifts may require weekend work. No approved time off within the first two weeks of the assignment. Medical and religious exemption requests for seasonal influenza vaccination are permitted.
