Job Title Full-Time Retail Sales Associate (Pawn Store) Compensation & Commission $13.00 to $15.00 per hour plus commission up to 8% on transactions (approximately $2.14 per hour on top of hourly rate). Hiring offers an easily achievable commission structure that pays for every transaction processed. Pay rates will not be below any applicable local minimum wage requirements. Flexible working hours: most stores open 9 AM to 6 PM, many closed on Sundays. Position Summary We are looking for entry-level, full-time sales associates at our pawn store locations nationwide. The retail sales associate partners with the entire store staff to ensure customer service on both the lending and retail sides. They greet, engage, and interact with customers to process sales, loans, and other transactions and assist with customer inquiries and problem resolution. Associates work with a variety of merchandise, including tools, electronics, firearms (in FFL locations) and more. Responsibilities Greets and interacts with all customers to develop rapport and recommend financial solutions. Performs non-management open/close procedures. Keeps the sales floor clean, stocked, and displays merchandise. Performs sales and loan transactions in accordance with policies, procedures, practices and regulatory requirements. Handles cash and negotiable items per established procedures. Answers incoming calls per company standards. Communicates legal aspects of pawn and buy transactions to customers. Communicates effectively with coworkers and managers, showing respect and using effective tools. Partners with all employees to create a positive memorable customer experience. Completes assigned training successfully. Assists customers in exterior areas such as parking lots or storage buildings as needed. Other related duties as assigned. Minimum Requirements & Qualifications Must be willing and able to lift/carry up to 50 pounds. Must be willing and able to perform duties and tasks for extended periods (standing, stooping, walking, climbing, pushing, pulling, lifting). Ability to work with firearms and become firearms certified. Minimum age 18 years. High School Diploma, GED, or equivalent experience. Strong desire to work, serve customers, work with people, and be team-oriented. Ability to multi-task in a fast-paced environment. Proficient with basic math calculations. Cash handling experience preferred. Open to working in multiple locations as business needs dictate. Must be able to work a flexible retail schedule including weekends and holidays.
