Role: Slalom Flex (Project Based) - Senior Data Engineer Location: Los Angeles, CA What You’ll Do Actively design, build, and optimize scalable ETL pipelines for structured and semi-structured data Design and implement complex data models using industry best practices Partner closely with internal stakeholders to understand their needs and craft solutions that drive outcomes Architect and implement robust, maintainable, and high-performance data solutions Automate workflows to reduce manual intervention and enhance data processing efficiency Mentor junior data engineers through code reviews and technical guidance, setting best practices and fostering technical growth Ensure data quality and governance What You’ll Bring Completed Degree in related field with 6+ years of data engineering experience Expert-level hands‑on coding skills specifically in Python, SQL, Spark, Databricks, and tools like Airflow, Databricks, and dbt Experience operating as a Technical Lead Exposure to ML, personalization, recommendations, or feature pipelines preferred Compensation and Benefits Slalom is proud to invest in benefits that include meaningful time off and paid holidays, parental leave, 401(k) with a match, a range of choices for highly subsidized health, dental, & vision coverage, adoption and fertility assistance, and short/long-ter m disability. Actual compensation will depend upon an individual’s skills, experience, qualifications, location, and other relevant factors.
