First American is looking to add a Commercial Title Officer to our growing team in Atlanta. In this role you will work in a dynamic, fast-paced setting supporting the team in a variety of ways including reviewing title commitments and surveys for commercial transactions ranging from single site to high-liability multi-site, analyzing records and data, contributing key information that is critical to the transaction process. You will play a pivotal role in coordinating the resolution, closing and completion of the commercial title process. What You’ll Do Review title commitments/reports, surveys and documents for commercial transactions depending on the locality and corporate standards. Analyze records, such as liens, judgments, easements, vital statistics, and property surveys to determine ownership and legal restrictions and to verify legal description of property and completeness of records. Properly price commitments, endorsements, policies and guarantees using appropriate schedule of fees and charges. Review and approve a variety of documentation including deeds, operating agreements, and corporate resolutions. Select appropriate write-ups for commitments and policies for both standard and extended coverage. In some regions/locations, consult with attorneys to review search packages and on matters that require escalation. Coordinate closings for a variety of commercial real estate transactions. Knowledge of MS Office suite and ability to quickly adapt to new software applications and technologies. Flexible with the ability to multi-task and handle all aspects of title support. High school diploma or equivalent. 3-5 years of commercial title related experience. Pay Range: $28.09 - $37.44 Hourly. This hiring range is a reasonable estimate of the base pay range for this position at the time of posting. Pay is based on a number of factors which may include job-related knowledge, skills, experience, business requirements and geographic location.
