By the time most people are pouring their first coffee, you’re powering up diagnostic software and planning the day’s priorities across a dedicated internal fleet. You’ll put your electrical and mechanical know-how to work on Class 8 tractors and trailers—moving seamlessly from preventive maintenance to complex troubleshooting—backed by a team that invests in your growth.

Compensation: Average pay range $23–$25/hr (rate varies based on experience level and certifications). Sign-on bonus: $2,000 paid within your first 90 days.

NFI Division: Fleet Services

Your day-to-day impact

• Pinpoint, diagnose, and repair electrical and mechanical issues on tractors and trailers using tools such as JPRO, OEM diagnostic software, multimeters, and Windows-based platforms.
• Perform scheduled preventive maintenance across our fleet of tractors and trailers to keep equipment road-ready.
• Conduct DOT inspections in accordance with FMCSA guidelines.
• Work hands-on: lift or pull 75+ lbs, stand or lie for extended periods, and maneuver to access components safely.

What you bring

• Valid driver’s license; ability to obtain a Class A license is preferred.
• Technical or advanced degree, or 2+ years of equivalent maintenance experience.
• Comfort with diagnostics (JPRO, OEM tools), multimeters, and Windows-based systems.
• Clear communication skills, strong problem-solving, and a collaborative, customer-first approach.
• Completion of an on-site evaluation with recommended training.
