Pediatric Anesthesiologist

St. David's Medical Center in Austin, TX, is seeking a Pediatric Anesthesiologist to join their team. Practice Info * Provides anesthesia services at St. David's Medical Center, North Austin Medical Center, South Austin Hospital, and Round Rock Medical Center. * St. David's Medical Center features a 426-bed acute care hospital and a 64-bed rehabilitation hospital. * The medical center has a 24-hour emergency department and an all-inclusive Bariatric Surgery Center. * Provides complex surgical services. Responsibilities * Assist in the directing and coordinating of activities in the Anesthesia Department. * Responsible for the medical management of patients who are rendered unconscious and/or insensible to pain and emotional stress during surgery and other medical procedures. * Perform pre-anesthesia assessment. * Obtain and/or verify patient consent. * Discuss anesthetic options and risks with the patient. * Induction, maintenance, and emergence from anesthesia. * Monitoring of the patient's physiological condition. * Performance of clinical intervention as needed. Compensation * Salary: $440,000+ * ~$130,000 productivity and call pay (total ~$570,000). * Premium pay over 40 hours. * Pediatric Specialty Stipend: $50,000. * Sign-On Incentive: $50,000. Requirements * M.D./D.O. Degree from an accredited College of Medicine. * ECFMG and FLEX. * Currently licensed as a Physician. * Completion of Anesthesia Residency. * Fellowship Trained in Pediatric Anesthesiology.
