Chemistry Technician - Contractor Zeno is seeking a highly motivated Chemical Technician to support the efforts of developing and bringing to market Radioisotope Power System (RPS) technologies. In this role you will: Perform daily experiments under direction of Project Lead Chemist. Assist with documenting experimental procedures, hazards assessments, and results. Assist with literature searches and technical documentation. Prepare bulk solutions and in-house chemicals. Prepare calibration standard solutions and samples for instrumental analyses. Stock and monitor laboratory supplies. Assist and support the Hardware lab and the Chemistry lab. Support EH&S to ensure a safe working environment. Help manage and facilitate chemical waste collection. Assist with instrument and equipment maintenance and calibration. Support Zeno Power Systems Safety Culture. Key Qualifications and Skills Associate's degree or higher in Chemistry or equivalent from accredited university 2+ years of laboratory experience Hands‑on experience in disciplines related to analytical chemistry, inorganic chemistry, and materials science Experience working with radioactive materials is a plus Ability to communicate across disciplines. Ability to present data to diverse stakeholders. Ability to manage competing priorities in a fast‑paced environment. Ability to meet deadlines and perform under pressure in an uncertain environment. Must be a self‑starter and possess the ability to coordinate and lead efforts with minimal direction. Eagerness to learn. Must have excellent research, writing, and oral communication skills. Job Functions Position requires in‑office presence in Seattle (South Lake Union) Monday‑Friday. Travel: Travel may be required, Motor Abilities: Sitting/standing for extended periods, gripping, fine motor control (hands) Physical requirements: Ability to safely lift up to 15 pounds Special Senses: Visual and audio Work Conditions: Typing, standing/sitting working environment of >8 hr/day Compensation and Benefits The anticipated pay band for this position is $30-$45/hr . The final job level and compensation will be determined by various factors such as a candidate's relevant work experience, years of relevant experience, skills, qualifications, certifications, and other business considerations.
