Our organization is on the lookout for a Board Eligible or Board Certified Cardiothoracic Surgeon to join a dynamic and high-volume practice in Des Moines, Iowa. The perfect candidate will bring enthusiasm, creativity, and a commitment to growth, contributing to one of the nation's premier cardiovascular centers.

• Currently seeking a fifth surgeon to join our team of four, focusing on growth and innovation.
• Advanced Practice Provider (APP) will handle first call duties, along with inpatient rounding and clinic support.
• 24/7 intensivist support available in the Cardiothoracic Surgical Intensive Care Unit (CSICU).
• Annual surgical case volume exceeds 1,000 procedures.
• Opportunity to support and expand the Left Ventricular Assist Device (LVAD) program.
• Leaders in beating heart surgery, robotic heart surgery, minimally invasive valve procedures, ECMO, VAD, TAVR, and TEVAR.
• Access to block time with three cardiovascular operating rooms, one hybrid room, and Da Vinci Xi/Si systems.
• Utilization of EMR system EPIC.
• Involvement in General Surgery Residency education.

• Competitive salary of $905,260.
• Recruitment incentive of $150,000 and $6,000 for Continuing Medical Education (CME).

We specialize in various fields including Cardiovascular Surgery, Vascular Surgery, Advanced Heart Failure, Interventional Cardiology, Electrophysiology, and General Cardiology.

Our facility has been recognized as one of the top 50 cardiovascular hospitals by Fortune/IBM Watson Health. We operate eight primary locations and 15 outreach facilities throughout Iowa, performing over 10,000 cardiac interventions each year. Our services also include Vascular Surgery, Electrophysiology, a Vein Center, and Advanced Heart Failure support.
