Sales Team Manager

As a Sales Team Manager, you will lead and develop our Inside Sales Representative (ISR) team, driving performance through structured training, real-time coaching, and a highly accountable, team-oriented environment. This role plays a critical part in building a strong sales culture focused on consistency, communication, and continuous improvement. You will conduct analysis and make recommendations on product pricing, purchasing decisions, product selection, and minimum inventory levels.

You will be responsible for recruiting and onboarding new ISR team members, supporting structured training classes, and ensuring each representative is set up for success from day one. Daily tasks include assisting with sales representatives and approving discounts, monitoring call times, assessing effectiveness of the sales team, and looking for growth opportunities.

This role works closely with Company Leadership, Logistics and Customer Service to drive measurable sales results.

Key Responsibilities:

• Recruit, screen, and hire high-potential ISR candidates aligned with our sales environment and expectations
• Lead onboarding and support structured ISR training classes, ensuring new hires ramp quickly and effectively
• Provide daily, real-time coaching, call feedback, and performance guidance to both new and tenured ISRs
• Monitor call activity, conversion metrics, and overall performance to ensure individual and team goals are met
• Reinforce accountability, structure, and consistency across the ISR team
• Develop and implement strategies to improve retention, engagement, and long-term success within the ISR role
• Create a motivating, high-energy sales environment that encourages growth, resilience, and performance
• Conduct ongoing product and process training to strengthen sales effectiveness
• Clearly communicate company expectations, policies, and sales standards
• Mentor and develop ISRs for progression and increased responsibility within the organization
• Evaluate sales strategies, identify gaps, and implement process improvements
• Partner closely with Leadership, Customer Service, and Operations to ensure alignment and execution
• Monitor competitor activity to maximize sales and profitability
