Clamp Lift Operator

Location: Garden City, GA

Payrate: $21.00/HR

Shift: Mon-Fri 7am-4pm

Summary:

The Clamp Lift Operator is responsible for safely and efficiently operating material handling equipment, primarily a sit-down and/or clamp forklift, to move, locate, relocate, stack, and count merchandise within a warehouse environment. This role may also include performing order filler or order checker duties as required.

Essential Duties & Responsibilities:

• Stack and store merchandise in designated areas using forklift, clamp, or push-pull equipment.
• Safely unload inbound shipments and move products to storage locations.
• Prepare products for shipment by pulling and ensuring accurate quantities and types of products are loaded.
• Efficiently perform picking duties to meet customer service standards.
• Load product from staging or storage areas into trailers.
• Operate all equipment in a safe and efficient manner following prescribed work methods.
• Maintain records and reports to ensure inventory control and security.
• Assist in physical inventories and conduct cycle counts as needed.
• Ensure proper stock rotation to maintain inventory freshness.
• Use RF scanning equipment to verify inventory accuracy.
• Report safety concerns and inventory discrepancies promptly to management.
• Complete inspection forms before operating equipment.
• Basic knowledge of Excel and general computer skills required.

Job Related & Physical Requirements:

• High School Diploma/GED preferred.
• Minimum 3 months of forklift experience and/or using warehouse distribution equipment.
• Ability to stand/walk for up to 10-12 hours per day.
• Capable of lifting and/or pulling up to 50 lbs without restrictions.
• Regular bending, lifting, stretching, and reaching required.
• Comfortable walking in a distribution center environment with variable noise levels, lighting conditions, and temperature variations.
• Flexibility to work irregular or extended hours including nights, weekends, and holidays as needed.
• Must obtain NFI forklift certification.
• Attention to detail, excellent customer service skills, and basic math skills required.
