Job Responsibilities

• Create Tailored Treatment Plans: Assess patients' needs and design individualized therapy strategies that empower them to meet their functional goals
• Implement Therapeutic Techniques: Employ evidence-based approaches to foster improvements in patients' motor skills, cognition, and everyday activities
• Collaborate with Multi-Disciplinary Teams: Work alongside OTs, PTs, STs, physicians, and nursing staff to ensure comprehensive, patient-centered care
• Educate Patients and Families: Provide guidance to patients and their families on therapy practices to encourage ongoing development at home
• Track Progress and Adjust Treatments: Monitor patient outcomes and modify care plans as needed to keep patients progressing

Education Requirements

• Bachelor's or Master's Degree in Occupational Therapy from an accredited institution
• Opportunities for continuing education and specialized certifications are actively encouraged and supported

Certifications Needed

• Valid and active Occupational Therapist (OTR/L) license
• Certification from the NBCOT (National Board for Certification in Occupational Therapy) is mandatory
