This hospital-based role gives you an outstanding platform for professional growth, exposing you to a diverse inpatient caseload that includes ortho, total joints, ICU (ventilated patients), medsurg, oncology, cardiac surgery, and more. Join a supportive department utilizing advanced Cerner EMR and collaborating with a broad team of clinical leaders. This position is designed for seasoned professionals ready to further develop their acute care skill set, learn new approaches to patient care, and enrich their resume with complex cases.


Schedule:

• 8-hour shifts between 8:30am and 7pm; varied shift start times
• Day schedule (Monday-Friday); some weekend and holiday coverage required
• Flexible schedule with a weekday off when working a weekend

Qualifications:

• CA Physical Therapist license (active)
• Current BLS certification
• Minimum 2 years' acute care PT experience, including ortho, total joints, and ICU/ventilator exposure
• Strong adaptability and ability to thrive in fast-paced, acute care settings
• Comfortable caring for a wide range of diagnoses (telemetry, medsurg, cardiac, oncology, etc.)
• EMR experience (Cerner preferred)

Responsibilities:

• Provide direct inpatient physical therapy services across all hospital units
• Collaborate with a multidisciplinary team (rehab techs, nursing, pharmacy, RT, and physicians)
• Deliver care to diverse patient populations, including complex medical and postsurgical cases
• Document assessments and progress notes in the EMR system
• Participate in staff scheduling and holiday/weekend rotations
