About the Role
The Company is seeking a Vice President of Development to join its executive leadership team. The successful candidate will be responsible for driving all fundraising, philanthropic partnership, and donor engagement initiatives to support the organization's mission. This role requires a strategic leader who can execute a comprehensive development strategy, foster a culture of philanthropy, and partner with the CEO and Board to create and execute annual fundraising plans. The Vice President will lead all philanthropic fundraising efforts, including major gifts, annual giving, institutional giving, grants, corporate sponsorships, and special events. They will also be tasked with providing visionary leadership to the development team, evaluating fundraising performance, and using data to inform strategic decisions. Applicants for the Vice President of Development position at the company should have a Bachelor's degree (advanced degree preferred) and a minimum of 8-10 years' progressive fundraising leadership experience. The ideal candidate will have a proven track record in securing major gifts, foundation grants, and corporate partnerships, and be adept at leading high-performing teams. Strong relationship-building and communication skills are essential, as is the ability to engage with a diverse range of stakeholders. The role demands a collaborative, mission-driven leader with a strong sense of integrity and a commitment to the organization's values. The Vice President will also be responsible for team leadership, providing coaching in fundraising best practices, and ensuring the development team is equipped to meet ambitious fundraising goals.
