Job Description\n Med Ninjas is seeking a travel Respiratory Therapist for a travel job in San Antonio, Texas.Job Description & Requirements\n \n Specialty: Respiratory Therapist\n Discipline: Allied Health Professional\n Start Date: ASAP\n Duration: 13 weeks\n 36 hours per week\n Shift: 12 hours, days\n Employment Type: Travel\n \n Job Summary :\n - Provide pulmonary care for adult, pediatric, and neonatal patients (critical, non-critical, and chronically ill) under physician direction with minimal supervision\n - Assess patients and implement respiratory care plans\n - Perform technical and diagnostic respiratory therapy procedures throughout the hospital\n - Respond to emergency situations (Code Blue and White)\n - Manage airways, including nasotracheal and endotracheal suctioning\n - Administer aerosolized medications\n - Set up and manage ventilators\n - Perform oral hygiene and maintain airway devices (including BiPAP and CPAP)\n - Manage oxygen delivery systems and monitor therapy effectiveness\n - Analyze chest films, blood gases, and EKGs\n - Document all care accurately and completely\n - Clean and stock respiratory equipment and supplies\n - Participate in CAP (College of American Pathologists) and JC (Joint Commission) surveys\n - May serve as Shift Leader or Team Leader (if RRT)\n - May perform advanced therapies: therapeutic gas management (INO, HeO2), pulmonary function testing, bronchoscopy assistance, hemodynamic monitoring, waveform analysis, nocturnal SpO2 studies, polysomnography, and patient transportJob Requirements:\n - RT or RCP License in Texas\n - Registered Respiratory Therapist (RRT) by NBRC\n - BLS, ACLS, PALS, and NRP certifications (AHA only)\n - 1–3 years of experience preferredWork Schedule:\n - 6:45 AM – 7:00 PM\n Med Ninjas Job ID #15339.
