We move fast, with precision, and always execute with privacy at the forefront.We're looking for a Staff Solutions Engineer to join Snap!What you’ll do:Build new products and improve existing onesCollaborate with Snap product engineering teams and cross functional partners to meet business needsUnderstand and apply deep knowledge of products, technologies, and business to build solutions to solve for problems at scaleDesign and build end-to-end systems and launch-plan strategiesUse broad range of technical and soft skills to build productive relationships with partners and independently resolve complex technical and business needs while contributing to partner documentationApply expertise and product insight to deliver high-quality project/integration/partner engagements, while influencing product roadmap to meet the business needsWrite and ship reliable, scalable, and efficient codeBuild and improve solutions in collaboration with engineering, product, and cross functional partnersIdentify and surface insights using metrics on product usage to increase adoption and provide new solutions that address the needs of partnersWork with partners to develop a long-term strategic plan, grounded on business objectives, and manage partners during integrations with Snap’s platform products and ensure value creationUtilize AI tools and high velocity engineering workflows to design and ship scalable services while upholding rigorous standards for code correctness, security, and production ready quality codeKnowledge, Skills & Abilities:Ability to work with open source technologiesAbility to mentor and provide guidance to more junior team membersStrong written and verbal communications skillsStrong relationship development and collaboration skillsAdaptability in learning and applying evolving AI systems and tools to remain at the forefront of engineering trends and modern development practicesMinimum Qualifications:BS in a technical field such as computer science or equivalent years of experience9+ years of post-Bachelor’s software development or solutions engineer experience; or a Master’s degree in a technical field + 8+ year of post-grad software development or solutions engineer experience; or a PhD in a related technical field + 5+ years of post-grad software development or solutions engineer experienceExperience coding and building applications and APIs/SDKs for internal and external developers.Preferred QualificationsAdvanced degree in computer science or computer engineeringHighly proficient in JavaScript (and/or TypeScript), HTML, and CSSHighly proficient in Java, Golang, NodeJs, and/or PythonExperience developing front-end software using Javascript UI Frameworks (i.e React, Angular, Vue)Experience working with cross functional stakeholders to define business requirements and product roadmapsExperience working with large SaaS, PaaS and cloud platforms and building applications for third-party marketplacesIf you have a disability or special need that requires accommodation, please don’t be shy and provide us some information."Default Together" Policy at Snap: At Snap Inc. we believe that being together in person helps us build our culture faster, reinforce our values, and serve our community, customers and partners better through dynamic collaboration. The successful candidate’s starting pay will be determined based on job-related skills, experience, qualifications, work location, and market conditions. The starting pay may be negotiable within the salary range for the position.
