Oncology - Radiation Physician

Responsibilities:

Coverage needed due to the retirement of a full time physician until a permanent physician is recruited.

o Specialty:

• Radiation Oncology
• MD or DO

o Clinic, Call, or Both:

• Both
• 99% Outpatient 1% Inpatient (consults), mainly outpatient, inpatient consults are infrequent but still possible
• Consults, follow ups, on treatment visits weekly
• Dedicated tumor boards that would have to be attended weekly
• Call: Weeknight Call Only, call expected for onsite coverage days

Volumes (per week):

• 25-35 On Treatment Visits
• 5-8 Consults
• 5-6 Simulations
• All planning for simulations
• Daily image review for all patients under treatment (25-35)

o Schedule:

• 3 days per week, 8:00am-5:00pm, Tuesday - Thursday are the preferred days of the week needed for coverage
• Start date: as soon as possible

o Cases/Procedures:

• CT Sim, IGRT, IMRT, VMAT, SBRT, SRS, HDR
• All case types required

o Clinical support:

• No APPs

o EMR and Dictation Tools:

• EPIC/Dragon

o Required experience, training, and certifications:

• BLS

o Case Logs:

• Must be able to demonstrate that they have provided primary or consultative services in radiation oncology for at least 25 patients in the past 12 months.

o Consider IMLC or waiting for a license:

• MI license preferred, will consider IMLC

o Credentialing Timeframe:

• Typically 30 days, but applications are prioritized according to start date

English Native or bilingual proficiency
