We are seeking a dependable and motivated Dietary Cook/Dietary Aide to join our team. This position plays a key role in preparing and serving nutritious meals in accordance with posted menus, dietary needs, and food safety standards. The ideal candidate has a passion for serving others, especially in a geriatric care setting, and demonstrates a commitment to maintaining a clean, safe, and respectful work environment.

• Prepares meals, desserts, and snacks according to the posted menu schedule.

• Ensures all special diets and dietary concerns (e.g., diabetic, low-sodium, texture-modified) are followed accurately.

• Serves meals that are both palatable and visually appealing.

• Maintains a clean, organized, and sanitized work area, including dishwashing as needed.

• Understands and follows health code regulations regarding food and beverage storage, and hot/cold holding temperatures.

• Maintains proper documentation related to food safety and kitchen procedures.

• Ensures a safe, respectful, and professional kitchen environment at all times.

• Participates in ongoing training and continuing education as required.

• High school diploma or GED required.

• Must be at least 17 years of age.

• Interest or experience in geriatrics is highly preferred..

• Knowledge of basic dietary techniques and food service procedures.

• Strong attention to detail, organization, and cleanliness.
