(2,500 employees.) The role As an Automation Lead at IPL you will: · Initiates, implements, and manages the maintenance program specific to
automation. · Coordinates with Operations team and maintenance manager to scheduled
PM/Repair work. · Monitors the use and inventories of spare parts, and equipment and initiates
reordering when necessary. · Maintains and repairs and maintenance of automation equipment and secondary
systems. · Maintains and updates operating and training manuals for the maintenance
department. Monitors operation of plant equipment and systems.
Initiates and carries out projects that improve efficiency and/or reduce operating costs. Maintains safety, health, and environmental policies and procedures.
Implement programs and procedures required to ensure plant cleanliness.
Support the Plant Operations Department by planning and implementing plant improvements and expansions. Coordinates activities with Maintenance and Operations team.
Reports directly with the Maintenance manager to coordinate maintenance and repair work in process areas. · Communicates directly with the Maintenance manager to ensure effective
interaction between maintenance activities and quality requirements, including
participation by the maintenance technicians in the implementation of QA
policies and procedures. · Supports company- and plant-wide safety programs by providing technical
expertise/support and training. Responsible for special projects and other duties as assigned What you will bring to the role: Knowledge/Education required: · Minimum of two years’ experience with the set up and operations of plant
specific automation systems Injection molding experience
Advanced Maintenance skills
Experience with large tonnage machines (4000 tons).
Strong understanding of OSHA Safety Standards. Related Experience required: Previous maintenance experience is required.
The ability to work in a high-volume work environment in a team atmosphere is essential. Specific Skills required: Proficient skills in MS Office; Outlook, Excel and Word.
Thorough understanding of the organization and work environment.
Has a thorough understanding of plastics materials.
Experience with Automation
Certifications, licenses, and other special requirements:
