Job Summary:
Emergency Room (ER) Nursing position at a 137-bed acute care hospital located in Sanford, North Carolina. This role involves providing emergency nursing care across a busy emergency department that serves patients of all ages. The position offers a dynamic environment requiring quick thinking, multitasking, and teamwork to deliver quality patient care.

Job Details:

• Schedule: Nights shift, 12 hours per shift, with a weekly guarantee of 36 hours.
• Required Qualifications: Valid certifications including Advanced Cardiovascular Life Support (ACLS), Basic Life Support (BLS), National Institutes of Health Stroke Scale (NIHSS), and de-escalation training (Health and Wellness Certification, Crisis Prevention Institute, or Modified Aggression Management). Minimum of 2 years of emergency nursing experience required; valid license and current certifications are mandatory.
• Preferred Qualifications: Experience in emergency medicine, psychiatric emergency room, and familiarity with common diagnoses such as COPD, diabetic ketoacidosis (DKA), sepsis, cardiac emergencies, neurological emergencies, and stroke.
• Additional Information: Unit has 21 beds, including telemetry, behavioral health, and fast-track rooms. Patient ratios are approximately 1:5. The department is equipped with emergency medical equipment and uses Cerner electronic health record system.
• Shift Details: Night shift, 12 hours per shift, minimum 36 hours per week, starting on 10/04/2026 and ending on 01/03/2027.
• Float Requirements: Float rotation may be required as needed.
• Qualifications: Must have experience in emergency nursing, trauma, resuscitation, IV therapy, blood product administration, telemetry/EKG, and oxygen demand support.
