BUYER

We are seeking a detail-oriented and results-driven Buyer to manage end-to-end procurement and inventory operations. In this role, you will play a critical part in the supply chain by executing demand planning and inventory management. Utilizing MRP/ERP systems, you will analyze inventory data and purchase requisitions to ensure seamless material availability and uninterrupted manufacturing flow.  The ideal candidate bridges the gap between administrative precision and cross-functional collaboration. You will maintain meticulous procurement records, generate periodic purchasing reports, handle credit applications, and reconcile credit card expenses with strict attention to detail. Operating as a key team player, you will actively participate in new product introductions (NPI), production planning meetings, and ongoing continuous improvement initiatives to help optimize our supply chain operations.

salary: $28 - $35 per hour

Responsibilities

• Inventory & Demand Planning: Manage inventory and demand planning for low-volume, high-mix products to maximize order fill rates, optimize inventory turns, and maintain systems for uninterrupted manufacturing.
• Material Requirements Planning (MRP): Analyze inventory data, purchase requisitions, and MRP/ERP systems to accurately forecast, calculate, and secure required raw materials and weekly replenishment needs.
• Supplier Sourcing & Performance: Source, qualify, and manage vendor relationships to achieve cost savings, evaluating them through formal KPIs, supplier performance metrics, and regular scorecards.
• MRO Procurement: Direct the end-to-end procurement of Maintenance, Repair, and Operations (MRO) supplies across multiple locations, tracking orders and providing stakeholders with regular status updates.
• Proactive Supply Chain Communication: Liaise with suppliers to expedite delivery schedules, resolve return authorizations, and actively document and communicate raw material shortages to prevent production delays.
• Financial & Account Administration: Oversee administrative purchasing processes, including executing credit applications for new vendors and reconciling credit card expenses against purchase orders and receipts.
