Position Overview AMN Healthcare Allied is hiring a School Services Speech Language Pathologist for a travel assignment in Algonquin, Illinois. The role begins on 08/03/2026 and lasts for 43 weeks, with 40 hours per week on 8‑hour shifts. The travel assignment offers a standard school‑day schedule with approximately 7.5 hours per day, totaling about 37.5 hours per week. Responsibilities Conduct comprehensive bilingual (English/Spanish) speech and language evaluations for K‑12 students. Develop and implement individualized education program (IEP) goals and interact with the IEP team. Deliver direct therapy in one‑to‑one and small‑group settings, monitoring student progress. Collaborate with general and special education teachers, school psychologists, therapists, administrators, and families to support student success. Participate in IEP meetings, team consultations, and data‑driven decision making. Document sessions and progress in the district’s electronic systems. Support classroom or small‑group interventions and contribute to Response to Intervention (RTI) or Multi‑Tiered Systems of Support (MTSS) frameworks. Travel between schools as needed within the district area. Qualifications Master’s degree in Speech Language Pathology (SLP) or related field. State SLP license in the state of residence. Certificate of Clinical Competence (CCC) from the American Speech‑Language‑Hearing Association (ASHA). Bilingual proficiency in English and Spanish. Experience working in a school setting, early childhood, or pediatrics is preferred. Strong knowledge of speech and language development, assessment tools, and therapeutic techniques. Excellent communication, interpersonal, and organizational skills. Ability to work collaboratively with a diverse team and maintain accurate, confidential records in compliance with federal and state regulations.
