About the Role

The Company is seeking a Senior Counsel to join their team, specializing in third-party insurance defense litigation. The successful candidate will be responsible for managing a full caseload independently, from the inception to the resolution of a variety of matters, including general liability, construction defect, premises liability, trucking and transportation, product liability, and other civil defense issues. This role demands a high level of expertise, with a focus on drafting pleadings, motions, and legal strategy, as well as taking and defending depositions, attending hearings, mediations, and court appearances. The Senior Counsel will also be expected to communicate directly with clients and carriers and prepare cases for trial as necessary. Applicants for the Senior Counsel position should have a minimum of 8 years' of civil defense litigation experience, with a proven track record in handling third-party insurance defense matters. Strong writing, analytical, and organizational skills are essential, as is the ability to manage files independently in a fast-paced environment. Experience in deposition and motion practice is required, and a background in trial work or a keen interest in trial is a plus. The ideal candidate will be a strategic litigator, capable of operating at a high level, and will be comfortable working in a performance-driven environment where their contributions are recognized and rewarded.
