Purpose University Unions proudly offers a comprehensive range of services across multiple buildings on campus. Our spaces include meeting and performance venues, administrative offices, dining operations and recreational facilities like our bowling alley and cutting-edge Esports spaces.
We are currently seeking a skilled and motivated individual to join our team as a full-time Building Attendant II for the University Unions. The location for this position is the William C. Powers, Jr. Student Activity Center, 2201 Speedway, Austin, Texas.

Relevant education and experience may be substituted as appropriate. Preferred Qualifications High school graduation or GED. Six months or more experience in any of the above listed fields. Demonstrated ability to communicate with supervisors and peer group in a timely and effective manner. Experience using industrial-sized custodial equipment. Ability to read and understand work orders, written instructions, product labels and instructions, and other written job materials. Demonstrated ability and willingness to be an effective team member. Flexibility is key for this position.
Salary Range $36,342 Annually Working Conditions
Final candidate will be required to pass a background check prior to starting employment. The candidate must also pass a functional employment test. The purpose of the test is to determine whether the individual possesses the ability to perform the required job functions safely and effectively.

- Ensure the area immediately outside the facility remains neat and clean.
- Assist with floor care, including shampooing carpets, scrubbing floors and stripping and finishing floors.
- Clean, stock and maintain the male and female restrooms.
- Assist with room set-ups and breakdowns for special events.
- Sweep, mop, vacuum, dust and remove trash throughout the facility.
- Follow job requirements, and direction from building supervisors.
- Use proper cleaning materials, correctly operate janitorial equipment and adhering to required safety protocols.
- Other duties as assigned by the building supervisors.
