Embark on a rewarding experience supporting high school students as an Occupational Therapist in a dynamic educational environment near Manchester, NH. This full-time, contract opportunity spans the entire 2026-2027 school year, allowing you to make a meaningful impact while advancing your professional skills.
As a vital member of the special education team, you will provide direct services and consultative support for a high school caseload. You'll collaborate closely with educators, families, and support staff to help students reach their fullest potential in academics and daily life skills.
Qualifications & Experience:
- Valid Occupational Therapy certification in New Hampshire (NH OT certificate required)
- Previous experience delivering OT services in a school setting, particularly with high school students
- Strong knowledge of current best practices within school-based occupational therapy
- Excellent communication, collaboration, and organizational abilities
- Capacity to maintain thorough records and work within IEP frameworks
Key Responsibilities:
- Deliver occupational therapy evaluations and interventions for students in accordance with IEP goals
- Collaborate with teachers, administrators, and families to create strategies that foster student success
- Document progress, develop reports, and participate in IEP meetings
- Provide consultation and training to staff on accommodations and adaptations to support student needs within the classroom
- Foster a supportive environment that promotes student independence and participation in school routines
This role offers a consistent 35-hour workweek, giving you stability and the time to build relationships that foster student growth. You'll work alongside dedicated professionals in an inclusive, forward-thinking school community dedicated to both student and staff excellence.
