Staff Software Engineer - Full Stack

What You’ll Do Own core product features end-to-end — from concept and architecture to shipping, iteration, and scaling Architect and build high-performance UIs that render automated hedge recommendations, track open positions, and show real time marketdata Lead the rebuild and evolution of product architecture across the stack—including UI foundations and backend APIs—to enable speed, reliability, and scale Work directly with founders, and customers to define product direction and translate complex risk workflows into intuitive experiences Lead the development of AI-enabled features, integrating LLMs and model-driven insights into mission-critical operator workflows Drive engineering best practices, mentor other engineers, and help shape Pillar’s product and technical culture What We are Looking For Product Ownership: You have a proven track record of building products and leading 0 → 1 initiatives Full Stack Experience: A strong background in React/Typescript and familiarity with NextJS, and in building complex, performant UIs. Comfortable working across the stack, including back-end API’s and integrations, but with a bias towards front-end AI-Enabled Product Development: Experience and interest in building AI enabled products, which leverage AI to solve real problems for customers Bias for Speed and Ownership: Value for shipping fast and willingness to problem solve Teamwork and Communication: Enjoy working with and leading teams as well as working individually, and are able to clearly communicate with others.
