Academic Instructor
Classes will generally be scheduled between 5:00 PM and 9:00 PM. Online instruction must occur outside the apprentices' normal work hours of approximately 7:20 AM to 4:00 PM. Instructors will work according to assigned courses and academic sessions.
The Academic Instructor will provide college-level instruction to NNSY apprentices through online synchronous or asynchronous classes and, when required, in-person instruction. The instructor will teach assigned coursework, evaluate student learning, and monitor academic progress.
Must meet the qualification standards of the accredited Educational Institution and applicable accrediting organization.
Must possess appropriate education and subject-matter expertise for assigned courses.
Must be capable of providing online and in-person instruction when required.
Must meet applicable NNSY security, privacy, and access requirements.
Deliver assigned courses using approved curriculum and Student Learning Outcomes.
Monitor student attendance, participation, grades, and academic progress.
Prepare and administer assignments, assessments, and final examinations.
Identify academic concerns and coordinate student intervention when necessary.
