Job Description

This role focuses on assembling complex mechanical systems and material handling equipment using detailed drawings, schematics, and bills of materials. You will build and prepare machinery used in the food, beverage, and chemical industries, ensuring high-quality workmanship and adherence to company standards. The position offers the opportunity to work with large industrial conveyor systems and palletizing equipment in a clean, well-organized manufacturing environment.

Responsibilities

• Use machine drawings, machine assembly drawings, control schematics, and relevant bills of materials to assemble equipment accurately according to specifications.

• Identify and resolve assembly issues by interpreting technical documentation and applying practical problem-solving skills.

• Engage in the reduction and elimination of non-value-added work throughout the organization by following efficient work practices.

• Utilize hand tools and power tools proficiently to perform structural assembly, mechanical drive assembly, fluid control assembly, guard and cover assembly, mechanical assembly, and simple electrical assembly.

• Ensure all work reflects high-quality workmanship, neatness, and acceptable efficiency levels.

• Perform quality assurance checks in accordance with internal documentation and standards, including Blue Book procedures.

• Accurately complete documentation such as labor reporting, material issues and returns, material movement records, and material scrap reports.

• Execute inventory re-ordering policies, including Kanban systems, to maintain appropriate stock levels of parts and materials.

• Prepare equipment for shipment, including machine teardown and related tasks, to ensure safe and efficient transport.

• Collaborate and work effectively within assembly teams of 2–6 assemblers to complete projects on schedule.

Work Environment

This is a first-shift position with core hours from 5:30 a.m. Monday through Thursday, including a 30-minute lunch break. Voluntary overtime is typically available on Fridays. The facility is very clean and well-lit, providing a comfortable and organized manufacturing environment. Assemblers typically work in teams of 2–6 and use Milwaukee tools and other industrial equipment to build large mechanical systems and conveyors.

This is a Contract to Hire position based out of Randolph, WI.

Pay and Benefits

The pay range for this position is $22.50 - $23.50/hr.
