Banquet Food Server

The Banquet Food Server will serve food and beverages to banquet guests. The Banquet Food Server will set up banquet functions by setting tables with linens, dishes, flatware, and glassware according to banquet order. Break down banquet functions by clearing tables and transporting used items to appropriate areas to be cleaned.

Job Functions

• The Banquet Food Server will set up banquet room in accordance with catering specification sheet; table linens, dishes, silverware, and glassware.
• Greet guests in a friendly, courteous manner.
• The Banquet Food Server will serve food and beverage items to guests using hand-held trays and/or buffet carts.
• Prepare and set up condiments.
• The Banquet Food Server will break down banquet room upon completion of function; remove soiled dishes, glassware and silverware and transport to dishwashing area.

Qualifications

• Six (6) months of experience preferred.
• Must be able to stand and walk for duration of shift.
• Must be able to lift and carry trays weighing approximately 40 pounds.
• Must be able to push and/or pull carts weighing approximately 100 pounds.
• Must have excellent customer service and communication skills.
• Must be able to obtain/maintain any necessary licenses and/or certifications.
