Head of Marketing for Infrastructure Advisory Location: Overland Park, KS, or Houston, TX As a member of the Infrastructure Advisory Leadership Team, this role develops and executes commercial, business and marketing strategy to support the growing consulting and managed services organization. The Head of Marketing builds awareness of Infrastructure Advisory capabilities across all segments and geographies, identifies profitable service areas for near‑horizon growth, and nurtures new market opportunities for later horizons. Key Responsibilities Creating and advising on commercial and market strategy across Infrastructure Advisory teams. Bridging between Advisory teams and market/geography teams to create and execute marketing campaigns, shape perception, drive demand, generate leads, and accelerate funnel. Building and advancing business relationships within Infrastructure Advisory and across Black & Veatch leadership to develop value propositions and cross‑sell services. Conducting market research to understand target segments, buyers, influencers, competitive landscape and emerging opportunities. Strategic marketing planning, campaign strategy, demand strategy, performance marketing, budget management and execution across global stakeholder groups. Defining customer journeys for service areas with sales and engagement touchpoints and supporting sales lifecycle processes. Creating and testing messaging that resonates with audiences across segments, sub‑segments and buyer groups. Managing paid media tactics, measuring performance, and adjusting campaigns and spend. Planning and supporting in‑person and virtual events, including trade shows and company‑hosted events. Integrating Infrastructure Advisory services across the digital landscape and stakeholder lifecycle. Setting and tracking KPIs to drive continuous performance improvement. Leading a small team of direct reports and coordinating influential functional and commercial partners. Collaborating with marketing, business and regional teams to create win‑win growth opportunities. Executing portfolio positioning and regional marketing plans with sales and marketing leaders. Preferred Qualifications Proven record of building businesses and providing commercial support within a matrix consulting organization. Experience with infrastructure and energy solutions. Strong writing and messaging skills across multiple media. Full strategic marketing planning and execution skill set. Technical aptitude to translate highly technical offerings into value propositions. Strong project management, budgeting and measurement skills. Experience marketing professional and managed services and technical solutions. Minimum 15 years of B2B strategic marketing experience, including digital marketing and demand generation. Bachelor's degree in marketing or related field (Master’s preferred). Experience as a head of marketing in a matrix consulting organization. Advanced skills in Excel and analytics/data analysis. Experience with MarTech and SalesTech systems such as Salesforce. Experience in partner and ecosystem marketing and client value storytelling. Deep experience in demand generation, content strategy and outbound communications. Ability to autonomously research and understand highly technical solutions. Experience building industry partner and sponsor relationships and hosting events. Minimum Qualifications Bachelor’s degree in a related field or equivalent experience. 12+ years of progressive management experience in related areas. Ability to complete required pre‑employment onboarding requirements. Work Environment / Physical Demands Hybrid or flexible work options may be offered after the first 90 days. Planned travel up to 40% of the month; global travel required. High availability and responsiveness, including weekends.
