Job Description

Job Summary:
Seeking an experienced Certified Surgical Technologist (CST) for a 13-week travel assignment in the operating room of a high-acuity hospital. The role requires advanced surgical knowledge across multiple service lines, including neuro, orthopedics, robotics, and trauma.

Responsibilities:

• Prepare and maintain sterile field for surgical procedures.
• Assist surgeons and surgical teams during operations, ensuring all instruments and supplies are available.
• Maintain accurate documentation of procedures using Cerner system.
• Adhere to hospital policies, safety standards, and dress code requirements.
• Support float to other departments as needed, demonstrating flexibility and teamwork.
• Ensure post-operative cleanup and sterilization procedures are properly followed.

Qualifications:

• Must have a minimum of 2 years of surgical Technologist experience.
• Possess certification as a CST or ORT with current credentials.
• Demonstrate broad surgical knowledge, including experience in general, neuro, orthopedic, and service line specialties such as robotics, GYN, plastic, urology, burn, or trauma.
• Ability to work variable schedules with call requirements.
• Strong knowledge of surgical instruments, procedures, and safety protocols.
• Excellent communication and teamwork skills.
