About the Position

Job Title: Pediatric Emergency Department RN Profession: RN Specialty: Pediatrics Emergency Department Duration: 13 weeks Shift: Rotating 7A/7P Hours per Shift: 12 hours Experience: Minimum of 2 years in Pediatric ER or Pediatric Psych, with at least 1 travel assignment License: RN License Certifications: BLS, PALS Must-Have: EPIC experience preferred Description: The Pediatric Emergency Room is a designated Burn, Trauma, and Eye center. The unit has 32 beds and 3 triage spaces. There are 2 rooms with 2 bed spaces each. 3 psych beds are available in a secure area. 2 negative pressure isolation rooms are included. There are 2 critical care rooms. 2 pediatric-specific trauma bays are available. 1 eye room is included in the facility. The Pediatric Emergency Department treats every specialty of pediatric patient. Specialties include neurology, neurosurgery, oncology, hematology, endocrine, genetics, pulmonary, cardiac, orthopedics, ophthalmology, general pediatric surgery, general pediatrics, rheumatology, psychiatry, GI, urology, burns, trauma, and eye care. Patients range in age from newborn to 21 years and 364 days. Exceptions are made for young adults with pediatric oncology diagnoses up to age 25. Psychiatric patients may be treated up to age 18. Pediatric trauma patients are considered up to age 14.
