Medical Device Quality Inspector

Medical Device Quality Inspector Location: Madison, WI (Onsite) Pay Rate: $25-30/hr. on W2 Seniority Level: Mid‑Senior Level Employment Type: Contract Job Function: Quality Assurance Industry: Medical Equipment Manufacturing Responsibilities The Medical Device Quality Inspection group ensures that materials, activities, processes and specified conditions related to daily device manufacturing, processing and packaging comply with GMP standards and applicable procedures to maintain product quality integrity. Inspect parts to specifications on part drawings using measurement tools such as calipers, micrometers, gauge pins, plug gauges and thread gauges. Receive training on ERP systems, including SAP for acceptance data entry and nonconforming material reports. Collaborate with the team on flexible assignments, working overtime when production schedules and part volumes demand. Qualifications & Skills Experience with optical measurement machines or a CMM Familiarity with ISO13485 or ISO9001 Basic math skills Proficiency with measurement devices (calipers, thread gauges, micrometers) to verify standards Ability to identify defects and flaws Capacity to work in a fast‑paced team environment with minimal supervision Working knowledge of Microsoft Word and Excel Basic reading and writing in English Flexibility for overtime as required Additional Information Prior SAP experience is not required; training will be provided.
