HOUSEKEEPER - DAY SHIFT

Location 303 North Jackson Street, Morrison, IL 61270, United States Pay $15.00 - $20.24 per hour Employee Type Full Time, Non‑Exempt Job Summary Cleans client rooms, nursing units, special care units, surgical services, clinical, nursing stations, lounges, lavatories, bathrooms, offices, and all other areas assigned in accordance with maintaining a clean, infection‑controlled environment. Ages served range from newborn to adult. Responsibilities Use the correct cleaning chemicals for the surface being cleaned to prevent permanent damage to fixtures and equipment and use appropriate PPE. Handle any patient's valuables or health system property that must be moved in order to clean any area with caution. Be responsible for resident’s laundry. Assist with patient care as needed. Understand and perform unit‑specific or special cleaning procedures. Demonstrate and actively promote an understanding and commitment to the mission of Morrison Community Hospital. Maintain a working knowledge of applicable Federal, State and Local laws and regulations. Qualifications Housekeeping experience preferred. Basic reading, writing and mathematics skills normally acquired through elementary level education required to measure and prepare cleaning compounds, read directions, and apply cleaning chemicals safely. Must have manual dexterity. Must clean isolation areas. Must be comfortable operating in a collaborative, shared leadership environment. Must possess a personal presence characterized by honesty, integrity, and caring. Benefits & Schedule Schedule: 8:00 AM – 4:30 PM Monday‑Friday with rotating weekends.
