Inventory Specialist

If you want to make a difference, we want to hear from you. Job Summary The Inventory Specialist maintains an adequate level of supplies in all areas serviced by Supply Chain Operations. This includes: stocking and restocking, picking supplies, staging orders, delivery of supplies, par level maintenance, code cart and respiratory box maintenance. This position works in a medium to heavy demand moving equipment and supplies. Assists in maintaining the appropriate inventory levels in the Point-of-Use cabinets and in the supply warehouse. Assists other departments within SCO as needed. Utilizes copiers, printers, mail inserter/folder, laminators, etc. to complete GHS printing requests. Provides book binding, laminating, and finishing services for BSC. Communicates with customers regarding BSC services and schedules and requisitions. Assists in Post Office as needed. Restocks supplies in the assigned bin location. Conducts cycle counts based on established guidelines. Performs maintenance, exchange, and transport activities for specialty carts including code carts, surgical carts, respiratory boxes. Conducts inquiry functions in the materials management information system to assess inventory levels, transaction history, and pending orders. Audits deliveries of supplies against delivery and receipt documents. Assists with the physical inventory of Point-of-Use cabinets and warehouse inventory. Picks and stages orders for the walk-up window and pick-batch requests. Prepares metered mail for pickup by contracted mailing company. Additional duties as assigned. QUALIFICATION 6 + months, Experience in a related position preferably in a Healthcare environment managing multiple types of supplies EDUCATION Highschool or GED Core Competencies 1.
