Customer Service Representative

Location 2395 S Volusia Ave, Orange City, Florida 32763 United States of America Job Overview U‑Haul is seeking a friendly, motivated Customer Service Representative to join a supportive team. The role involves serving as the face of U‑Haul, assisting customers with products and services, managing rentals and inventory via smartphone‑based U‑Scan technology, dispatching and returning equipment, inspecting and maintaining vehicles, and operating equipment such as forklifts and hitches. Responsibilities Assist customers inside and outside a U‑Haul center with U‑Haul products and services. Use smartphone‑based U‑Scan technology to manage rentals and inventory. Move and hook up U‑Haul trucks and trailers; install hitches and trailer wiring. Clean and inspect equipment on the lot, checking fluid levels. Answer questions and educate customers about products and services. Prepare rental invoices and accept returned equipment. Fill propane tanks (certification offered through U‑Haul). Operate a forklift (certification offered through U‑Haul). Other duties as assigned. Participate in ongoing continuous U‑Haul education through U‑Haul University. Minimum Qualifications Valid driver’s license and ability to maintain a good driving record. High school diploma or equivalent. Work Environment The work involves moderate risks requiring safety precautions such as protective clothing or gear (masks, goggles, gloves, shields). Exposure to moving parts, machines, fumes, or irritant chemicals is possible. Physical Demands Requires the ability to remain stationary for long periods, move around indoors and outdoors, reach objects at varying heights, and manipulate equipment weighing a minimum of 50 lbs, either assisted or unassisted.
