Senior Activity Center Customer Service Associate Part-time 25hrs

SUMMARY Under the direct supervision of the Senior Center Supervisor, the Customer Service Associate (CSA) monitors Parks and Recreation facilities, with a focus on the Bedford Senior Center and its hosted activities, ensuring compliance with municipal rules. ESSENTIAL DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES Registers program participants and potential facility users, processes payments, and manages program and reservation refunds. Answers incoming calls, provides information to callers, routes calls to appropriate personnel, and handles outgoing calls. Provides administrative support, including the preparation, documentation, and reconciliation of daily financial transactions at the Center. Informs patrons about available facilities, programs, activities, and usage guidelines. Maintains accurate records and logs of participants and activities. Assists Senior Center staff in scheduling and coordinating facility use to prevent conflicts. Designs and assembles marketing materials, including signs and posters. Performs various office tasks such as typing, filing, faxing, and emailing. Maintains the cleanliness and appearance of the facilities through light custodial duties. Undertakes additional assignments and special projects as required. Ensures regular and timely attendance, maintains a professional and cordial demeanor, and is available for occasional evening and weekend shifts. EDUCATION AND OR EXPERIENCE High School Diploma / GED; or up to one-month related experience or training; or equivalent combination of education and experience. LANGUAGE SKILLS Ability to read and interpret documents such as safety rules, operating and maintenance instructions, and procedure manuals. Ability to write routine reports and correspondence. Ability to speak effectively before groups of customers or employees of organization. MATHEMATICAL SKILLS Ability to add, subtract, multiply, and divide in all units of measure, using whole numbers, common fractions, and decimals. Ability to compute rate, ratio, and percentage and to draw and interpret bar graphs. REASONING ABILITY Ability to apply common sense understanding to carry out instructions furnished in written, oral, or diagram form. Ability to deal with problems involving several concrete variables in standardized situations. CERTIFICATES, LICENSES, REGISTRATIONS Valid Texas Driver's License Desired: Certified in CPR SPECIALIZED KSA'S Must possess a demonstrated ability to communicate clearly and accurately with a variety of people.
