Monitors patient drug therapy; provides drug information to physicians, nurses, pharmacy staff, other Medical Center employees and patients. Oversees and checks the activities of Pharmacy Assistants and Technicians. Department: PharmacyLocation: Englewood, NJStatus: Per DiemShift: As needed on weekdaysHours: Variable day shift Job Essentials:Interpersonal skills necessary in order to communicate effectively with physicians, various medical center personnel, and patients when explaining prescription use and/ or gathering and exchanging other medication information.Analytical skills necessary in order to determine drug appropriateness and evaluate drug interactions.Ability to concentrate and pay close attention to detail for approximately 80% of work time when reading and interpreting physician orders and related materials, and examining and closely inspecting materials when filling medications orders and preparing IV solutions.Ability to prepare and dispense medications in accordance with established hospital and departmental procedures. Education Requirements:Bachelor’s Degree in Pharmacy License/Certification/Registry:Current State license as a Pharmacist
