Compliance Specialist

Position Summary The Compliance Specialist ensures domestic and international lumber import/export operations comply with U.S. and international trade regulations. This role manages regulatory documentation, trade compliance, supplier due diligence, and environmental requirements while partnering with operations and the Controller to minimize risk and support efficient global trade. This is an in office position. Key Responsibilities Prepare, review, and audit import/export documentation to ensure compliance with U.S. Customs and other regulatory agencies Monitor trade regulations and communicate changes that may impact the business Complete monthly reconciliation and error reporting of import transactions Conduct supplier due diligence and maintain the FCTG Risk Supplier Matrix Obtain and maintain required supplier certifications and compliance documentation Support internal and external compliance audits and respond to legal or regulatory inquiries Classify products using Harmonized Tariff Schedule (HTS) codes and maintain the HTS database Help ensure company-wide adherence to FCTG's Import Compliance Program Qualifications Bachelor's degree with 2+ years of import/export experience, or 3–5 years of equivalent industry experience Compliance Specialist certification required Strong attention to detail with excellent analytical, organizational, and problem-solving skills Ability to build relationships and collaborate with operations, executives, traders, brokers, suppliers, and compliance partners Willingness to pursue additional certifications and continuing education provided by the company Experience in commodities, auditing, supply chain, procurement, or related fields is a plus #J-18808-Ljbffr
