Proficiency in sales and use tax is a bonusDemonstrate expertise in advanced technical skills required for independent client advisementManage client service tasks to ensure timely completion within budget constraintsDrive business development initiatives related to State and Local Tax projectsDelegate and oversee tax research projects for accuracy and efficiencyParticipate in personnel management, including recruitment, training, and retention of accounting staffLead recruitment efforts at colleges and universitiesHandle employee evaluations, promotions, and disciplinary actionsRepresent clients in governmental tax examinationsMaintain awareness of qualifications and assignments of SALT tax staffAssist in developing staff through mentoring, training, and performance evaluationsEnsure accurate and timely billing processesStay updated on tax laws and economic trendsContribute to the Firm's Quality Control DocumentParticipate in practice development activitiesFoster positive relationships within the Firm and with clientsPromote operational efficiency and compliance within the FirmServe on committees and contribute to improving Firm operationsQualifications10-15 years of public accounting experience with increasing complexity and responsibilityBachelor’s or master’s degree in accountingAnnual CPD requirement of 40 hoursActive CPA or JD license
